Willy D. Smith appeals from a judgment and sentence finding him guilty of "unlawfully and feloniously" delivering cocaine to a police undercover narcotics detective in violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, RCW 69.50.401(a).

At the time of his arrest, Smith was employed by the University of Washington as an assistant professor of psychology. His principal area of expertise and research dealt with the psychological phenomenon known as "Machiavellianism."
