Katherine Kozemchak, Mary L. Martin and their husbands, together with Angelo Briganti, appellants, instituted these actions in trespass against Harry William Garner, appellee, and Rent-A-Car Co., Inc., to recover damages for injuries sustained as a result of a collision between a Buick sedan driven by Mary L. Martin and in which Katherine Kozemchak and Briganti, the owner, were passengers, and a truck owned by Rent-A-Car, Inc., and leased to Garner, its operator.
