This case involves the expropriation by the State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), of immovable property located in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, and belonging to G & B Oil Products, Inc. (G & B). DOTD paid G & B $645,000.00 as just compensation for the land and improvements thereon, and the remaining issue of business losses claimed by G & B was presented to a jury for determination.
