We have accepted certain certified questions from the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia pursuant to the provisions of W. Va. Code, 51-1A-1, et seq. Generally, we are asked to state (1) whether Coffindaffer v. Coffindaffer, 161 W. Va. 557, 244 S.E.2d 338 (1978), which abolished the doctrine of inter-spousal immunity, is to be applied retroactively, and (2) what effect our adoption of comparative negligence as announced in Bradley v.
