This is an interlocutory appeal from the district court’s denial of William Owens’ motion to dismiss based upon qualified immunity. We reverse.
I. BACKGROUND
Jerald Davis, a licensed insurance broker, wrote credit life and disability insurance policies insuring loan customers of the First National Bank of Macomb, Illinois (“the Bank”). Each policy was financed by adding the individual borrower’s insurance premium to the sum of money borrowed from the Bank.
