This suit was brought in the city court of Bainhridge, for the purpose of recovering the value of certain dry-goods alleged to have been shipped from Baltimore, Md., to Bainbridge, Ga. The suit was brought against James C. Davis, Federal agent, operating the Merchants & Miners Transportation Company and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad.
