This case presents a novel question raised by the petitioner in response to the motion of the respondent to dismiss this petition for support of an adult child who is mentally disabled.
The motion to dismiss was made in accordance with the recently enacted chapter 256, Laws of 1966 which amended, among other laws, section 101 of the Social Welfare Law and sections 413, 415 and 443 of the Family Court Act, effective April 30, 1966.
