Approval and Confirmation of Settlement
THOMSEN, District Judge.*
This opinion sets out the reasons why the court has approved and confirmed, after notice and hearing, a settlement of the class actions filed in or transferred to this district and assigned to me for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings under 28 U.S.C. § 1407,1 and *21of all claims which have been or could be asserted by or on behalf of the classes or any member thereof (except those who opted out) and which are specified in the notice to the members of the classes.
