This appeal arises from a claim of innocent misrepresentation by the plaintiffs, Charles G. Gibson and Lois Gibson, against the defendants, John Capano and Maria Capano, in connection with the purchase of certain real property located in Norwalk. The Appellate Court reversed the trial court’s judgment for the plaintiffs on the innocent misrepresentation claim and we granted the plaintiffs’ petition for certification limited to review of the following question: “In order to impose liability on a seller of real estate for innocent misrepresentation, is specialized knowledge by…
