BRODY, Justice.

Leon E. Bard, Jr., appeals from a final judgment entered in the Superior Court (Kennebec County) on his complaint alleging retaliatory discharge in violation of the Whistleblowers’ Protection Act, breach of employment contract, wrongful discharge, and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. Bard contends that the court (Silsby, J.) erred in granting a motion for judgment made by Bath Iron Works Corporation (BIW) after the close of his evidence on the whistleblower claim.
