This case presents the question whether the Kansas Juvenile Justice Code (KJJC), K.S.A. 38-1601 et seq., authorizes the imposition of consecutive sentences in an appropriate case. We *814conclude that the legislature enacted a comprehensive sentencing scheme in the KJJC and did not by its silence on this issue imply that consecutive sentences may be imposed. For the reasons set forth in this opinion we, therefore, vacate the sentences imposed by the district court, reverse the Kansas Court of Appeals affirming the imposition of consecutive…
