SUE WALKER, Justice.

I. Introduction

A jury convicted Appellant Perry Collins West of driving while intoxicated, and the trial court, having accepted West’s pleas of true to the enhancement and repeat offender paragraphs, sentenced him to six years’ confinement. In one point, West argues that the trial court abused its discretion by allowing the State to elicit testimony from him that he had been arrested more than twenty times.
