Mendell Williams appeals pro se and in forma pauperis from Chief Judge Becker’s dismissal of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Williams v. Ciccone, 293 F.Supp. 271 (W.D.Mo.1968).
The facts are not in dispute. Williams is now confined at the United States Medical Center at Springfield, Missouri. He is 39 years of age. On May 14, 1953, he was convicted by a United States Army general court-martial for the murder of a fellow soldier in Japan, in violation of Article 118 (2) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 U.S.C. § 712(2) [since replaced by 10 U.S.C. § 918(2)].
