Appellant, acting pro se, filed the instant action on January 30, 1985. Appellant’s complaint alleged that appellee City of Elberton (City) and two of its former police officers were jointly and severally liable for injuries received “from the officers’ wrongful, intentional, malicious, and violent actions” during the arrest of appellant on October 17, 1982. Compensatory and punitive damages were sought. Appellees City and former officer McIntosh were served and both subsequently filed answers and motions to dismiss.
