Plaintiff Samson Brown (Brown) filed suit against defendants Unichema Chemical, Inc., Unichema International, Inc., and Unichema North America, Inc. (for brevity’s sake we will refer to all three defendants as Uncehema), for personal injuries he sustained as a result of a fall from a ladder. Count I alleged violations of the Structural Work Act (Act) (740 ILCS 150/1 et seq. (West 1992)). Count II alleged negligence.
