WOLLMAN, Circuit Judge.
Ronnie Thomas-Bey appeals his conviction and sentence for possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). We affirm.

In the early afternoon of June 9, 1988, officers of the St. Louis police department executed a search warrant at an apartment rented by Veronica Ross. They found Thomas-Bey in the bedroom, kneeling on the floor and pouring the contents of a 7-Up bottle into a red shoe box.
