The appeal in this case is from a conviction of manslaughter in the first degree upon an information charging the defendant with murder in the first degree.

Two errors of those assigned are particularly urged as prejudicial and entitling the defendant to a new trial. The first is the refusal to give a certain instruction requested by the defendant with reference to evidence of previous good character.
