Id a suit for divorce iu which the present petitioner was libel-ant a decree was entered granting a divorce from the bonds of matrimony on the sole* ground of the wife’s desertion. The libellee had answered denying the truth of the allegation of desertion and was represented by counsel at the trial. No cross-libel was filed. By stipulation of the parties, however, a provision was entered in the decree ordering the* libelant to pay 'alimony to the libellee in a stated sum monthly beginning with February 1,1912.
