Plaintiff Ricky A. Dickens filed suit in state court pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), after defendant Aetna Life Insurance Company (“Aetna”) terminated his long-term disability benefits under his employer-sponsored plan.
