This action was brought to recover for the death of Theodore Hamelin, alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the defendants.
The defendants are bridge-builders, and were, at the time of the accident complained of, engaged in constructing what is known as the Calvert street bridge, over Jones’Palls, in the City of Baltimore. The bridge is a heavy iron structure, and, in putting it together, it required strong manual force as well as the use of mechanical appliances.
