On October 14, 1929, King Terry filed his petition with the commissioners’ court of Brewster county, Tex., to havp a third-class or neighborhood road established between his ranch and a point on the Alpine-Terlingua highway near the east line of section 11, block 13, Galveston, Harrisburg & San An■tonio Railway Company land, said point being about four miles in an easterly direction from petitioner’s ranch.

At the next regular term of the commissioners’ court the road was established as prayed for and a jury of freeholders appointed to assess the damages incident to the opening…
