Petitioner filed for a writ of habeas corpus in federal district court alleging that the Illinois Prisoner Review Board violated his due process rights by failing to provide him with an adequate statement of its reasons for denying him parole. The district court agreed and granted the writ. United States ex rel. Johnson v. McGinnis, 571 F.Supp. 270 (N.D.Ill.1983).
