This is an action of contract brought in the Municipal Court of the City of Boston in which the plaintiff seeks to recover on several promissory notes made and delivered to the plaintiff by the defendant. The declaration is in twenty-two counts, count 1 of which is on a note for $48,577.76 dated November 12, 1948, and counts 2 to 22 of which are on notes in various amounts aggregating $16,323.09 and dated at various times from March 7, 1949, to June 4, 1954.
