Plaintiff, the beneficiary in a life insurance policy issued by defendant on the life of Joseph Friedman, brought an action to recover $20,000 claimed to be due it under the terms of the policy. The policy was for $10,000 and there was a rider attached which provided for double indemnity payment of $20,000 under certain circumstances. There seems to have been no contention but that defendant was liable for the face amount of the policy, $10,000, and this phase is out of the case.
