Former employees of the Alabama State Docks Department (“Docks Department”) filed a class action, Rule 23, A.R.Civ.P., against the Docks Department; John Dut-ton, as director of the Docks Department; and Robert M. Hope, Larry R. Downs, and Frank C. Daniels, as trustees of the Hourly Paid Alabama State Docks Department Workers Retirement Plan and Trust. The trial court certified two classes of plaintiffs, then entered summary judgment for all the defendants against both classes of plaintiffs on all their claims.
