There are two appeals in this action, one by the defendant George D. Sinclair and the other by the defendants, the trustees of the Central Cattle Loan Company. The plaintiff commenced the action against George D. Sinclair and the Central Cattle Loan Company to recover from Sinclair on a promissory note for $1,357 signed by him and given to the Central Cattle Loan Company in renewal of a promissory note previously given by Sinclair to the loan company, and by it assigned to the plaintiff.
