This was an action of detinue, brought by Pool against the plaintiff in error to recover certain negro slaves described in the pleadings. There was a verdict for the plaintiff below. Upon the trial a bill oí exceptions was sealed by the presiding judge, Avhich sets out the proof in ex-tenso, and upon which the errors are assigned in this court.— There was proof conducing to show that the slaves in controversy had belonged to Richard B.
