I. INTRODUCTION
This case brings into sharp focus the conflict that often exists between federal bankruptcy law and state domestic relations law. The Movant, Sandra Lynn Mudd, the former spouse of the Debtor, Kent Jacobson, is owed a substantial sum of child support arrearages arising out of divorce proceedings that date back over 15 years.
