This is an appeal by the defendants, the Chicago Railways Company and the Chicago City Railway Company, from a judgment of $2,500 rendered by the Circuit Court of Cook county in favor of the plaintiff, Joseph Sinopoli, in an action brought by the plaintiff for damages for injuries alleged to have been received by reason of the negligent operation of a street car of the defendants. The substance of the declaration is that the plaintiff was a passenger on a street car of the defendants on Halsted Street, in the City of Chicago, and that in attempting to alight from the car while it was standing…
