This was an action on the case, brought by Annie Ward against the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway Company, to recover damages for a personal injury to the plaintiff, inflicted upon her by one of the defendant’s locomotive engines, at or near the crossing of the defendant’s railway tracks over Boot (42d) street, Chicago. .
