McCoy Lumber Company (plaintiff) instituted an action against Garland Lumber Sales, Inc. (defendant) for breach of contract. On March 21, 1983, defendant was served with the complaint. Defendant failed to answer the complaint within the time required by law and a default judgment, in the amount of $11,532.76, was entered against defendant on May 13, 1983.
