MEMORANDUM OPINION
RONALD BARLIANT, Bankruptcy Judge.
On October 1, 1997, more than a month after the chapter 11 case had been commenced, the Debtor presented a motion to *176employ attorney Kevin Brill to represent it.1 By then, a great deal had happened in the case, with Mr. Brill representing the Debtor (even though the Debtor had not yet been authorized to employ him). An objection to that motion was filed by Maritza Marrero.
