LOONEY, Justice.
M. C. Horton sued Dallas Railway & Terminal Company to recover damages for personal injuries to his wife, Mrs. Adeline Horton, alleged to have been received under substantially the following circumstances while she was alighting from one of appellant’s street cars in the City of Dallas — that is, on leaving the car, the coat she was wearing was caught on the steps of the car as the motorman closed the door, and the car being put in motion, Mrs. Horton was thrown to the pavement and dragged a short distance.
