The Alabama Department of Human Resources (“DHR”) appeals from the Jefferson Probate Court’s judgment granting B.V. and D.V.’s petition to adopt J.C. We affirm.
J.C. was born on August 19, 1989, with multiple medical problems, including partial trisomy 18,1 and he was later diagnosed as also suffering from mental retardation and autism.
