Plaintiff Charles R. Kaelin, M.D. filed this action under the Employee Retire ment Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1461, against defendants the Tenet Employee Benefit Plan (“the Plan”), the Benefits Administration Committee of the Tenet Employee Benefit Plan (“the Committee”), Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company (“Reliance”), and Tenet Healthcare Corporation (“Tenet”). 1 The eight-count amended complaint contains several causes of action against these four defendants, all of which stem from a policy of group…
