CAVANAUGH, Judge:

Appellants-plaintiffs, the Police Commissioner of Potts-ville and two police officers, appeal from the order of the lower court granting summary judgment for appellees defendants, the Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc. and various of its employees. Appellants had initiated an action in libel seeking to recover compensatory and punitive damages allegedly sustained as a result of a defamatory article published by appellees in the Philadelphia Inquirer on May 18,1975.
