I. INTRODUCTION

On October 8, 2013, Petitioner Steven Rosciszewski filed the instant action seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. Petitioner, a citizen of Canada and lawful permanent resident (“LPR”) of the United States, has been detained in the Calhoun County Jail since September 4, 2013, based upon the recent reopening of his deportation case after it lay dormant for fifteen years.
