The plaintiff was the holder of three notes, each payable to his order at the Arlington National Bank in Arlington, Oregon. The defendants were the makers of the notes. By its terms, one of these notes became due on August 3, 1923, and by the terms of the other two the interest, but not the principal, became due on said date. The two notes last referred to contained a clause stipulating that if the interest was not paid when due, both principal and interest should, at the option of the holder thereof, become immediately due and collectible.
