OPINION

{¶ 1} On July 3, 2002, defendant-appellant Jeffrey D. Dille [hereinafter appellant] was indicted on one count of rape, in violation of R.C. 2907.02. The matter proceeded to a jury trial which commenced on May 20, 2003. The jury returned a verdict of guilty.

{¶ 2} Sentencing and sexual offender classification hearings were held on July 17, 2003. Appellant was sentenced to a definite prison term of six years and ordered to pay restitution upon his release from prison. In addition, the trial court classified appellant as a sexual offender.
