(after stating the faets as above). The claim which has been disallowed consists of a promissory note which may he found in the margin.1 Tho note, it appears, was given as a renewal of a note executed by the company under date of May 1, 1901, to Claus Doseher, trustee, for $86,744.28. The proof of claim does not set forth the consideration for tho note.

The German-Ameriean Improvement Company, the bankrupt herein, was organized in 1891 as a land company with a paid in capital of $300,000. It acquired a large tract of land with a view to its development into residential sites. It laid out…
