In October, 1910, W. Turner Railey obtained a judgment in the district court in Claiborne parish against the Louisiana & Northwest Railroad Company and the Athens Lumber Company, in solido, for $3,500 for damages for personal injuries. A train, operated by the lumber company on the tracks of the railroad company, had run down and injured Bailey while he was operating a hand ear in the employ of the rail road company.
