The board of examiners of the board of education of the City of New York conducted an examination, over a period of several months in 1953 and 1954, for the position of assistant to the principal in the elementary schools. The examination was given in separate parts. The first part was a written examination, consisting of two sections, a short answer test held on November 3,1953, and an essay test held on December 28 and 29, 1953.
