The defendant appeals from adverse decrees touching the foreclosure of certain mortgages. The facts of these cases present a comedy of errors. William Thompson owned in fee simple the land in controversy. The Oakwood Drug Company was chartered under the laws of Missouri “for the purpose of carrying on a general retail drug business in Kansas City, Missouri,” and to that end owning and conducting retail drug stores in different parts of Kansas .City, Mo., for profit.
