{¶ 1} This is an appeal from a judgment denying a writ of mandamus to compel appellee, School Employees Retirement System (“SERS”), to vacate its decision *262denying the application of appellant, Susan E. VanCleave, for disability-retirement benefits. Because we hold that SERS did not abuse its discretion in denying VanCleave’s application, we affirm.
