—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Tomei, J.), rendered April 25, 1997, convicting him of manslaughter in the second degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant was operating a stolen car and had stopped at an intersection when police officers approached the car with their badges displayed. The defendant drove off, at 55 to 60 miles per hour, on the wrong side of the road, in a busy residential and commercial neighborhood. The…
