This is an action of debt to recover the amount alleged to be due upon a life insurance policy. On August 13, 1885, the ACtna Life Insurance Company of Hartford, Connecticut, issued a policy through its Canadian branch on the life of Jean O. Tremblay of the Province of Quebec, in the sum of $2000, payable at his death to his wife Arthemise D. Tremblay, or in event of her death before his, to his executors, administrators, or assigns.
