Paul Hudson was an employee of the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) when he was called upon to testify in a lawsuit between a former co-worker and the ADC. Mr. Hudson gave testimony that was detrimental to the ADC, and he contends that the ADC took several adverse employment actions against him shortly thereafter. He sued under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and the Arkansas Civil Rights Act of 1993, see Ark. Code Ann. § 16-123-101 through § 16-123-108, naming as defendants various ADC employees in their individual and official capacities. Mr. Hudson claimed…
