The state, pursuant to § 547.200.2, RSMo Supp.1984, 1 appeals the trial court’s order sustaining defendant Benjamin Brown’s motion to dismiss on grounds that Brown’s right to a speedy trial was violated because the state has failed to pay the expenses necessary to defend Brown, whom the court determined to be indigent. Brown was charged with two counts of securities fraud under § 409.101, RSMo 1978, two counts of selling unregistered securities under § 409.301, and one count of employing an unregistered agent to offer and sell securities under § 409.201.
