Defendant appeals the trial court’s order that denied its motion for summary disposition and granted plaintiffs request for a permanent injunction. For the reasons stated below, we affirm.

I. NATURE OF THE CASE

This action is a trademark-infringement suit. Michigan courts have protected trademark rights since the nineteenth century, initially under the common law of unfair competition.
