CAMPBELL, District Judge.
On February 15, 1943, LST-5, a Navy vessel 337 feet long, was moving south in the Mississippi River, from 200 to 500 feet off- the Tennessee shore. In preparing to anchor about 7:00 P.M., the ship made a '90° turn to the right, went about 300 feet west, made another 90° turn to the right, and anchored by the bow facing upstream. Although the ship was also equipped with a stern anchor, it was not used. The place of -anchorage was in the vicinity of Lee Light, located at mile 100 below Cairo, Illinois.
